Magnum Photo Project

My Magnum photo project was based on the Humane Society and the animals that they shelter. Approximately 7.3 million cats and dogs enter animal shelters nationwide every year. These animals deserve homes just as much as we do and they aren’t getting the attention that they deserve. I photographed animals in the environment that they have adapted to after many months/years that they have been homeless. Each one of these animals have their own unique story of how they got to be here, at the Humane Society of Greater Miami. I got to spend some one-on-one time with these animals and really got to know a few of them and they really are loving creatures that deserve affection and care from others. Many of these animals have had horrible and tragic pasts and the people here at the Humane Society ensure that these pets don’t feel unloved.
